Bountiful,
UT - Enjoying a day of fun and fundraising helps a local family deal with
mounting medical bills. A day full of
activities, including a 5K run/walk, bake sale, yard sale, blood drive and
evening concert, was held at the Bountiful City Park. The event was to raise
funds for the family of Kelsen Wood, a baby who has already undergone cataract
surgery and is currently waiting for a heart transplant. “The medical bills are
going to be pretty big, and he’ll be put on a ton of medication when he gets
out of the hospital,” said Eric Lund, one of the event organizers. www.fundraisingweb.org

Laser Tag Fundraiser in Bristol
Bristol, VT — A
new, anti-childhood hunger project is underway in Addison County. According to
volunteer coordinator Barbara Kohler, the Feed My Starving Children MobilePack
fundraising program will be started at Mt. Abraham Union High School this
month. Feed My Starving Children was founded in 1987 by Minnesota millionaire
Richard Proudfit. “Each meal costs a mere 22 cents, but that means we need to
raise almost $60,000,” according to Kohler. “We are hosting several small events
in an effort to raise this money. One of those events is happening at Whirlie's World entertainment center on Exchange Street
in Middlebury.” Kohler said the fundraising event at Whirlie’s World will
include a laser-tag event with prizes and a raffle www.fundraisingweb.org
