St. Augustine, FL - Presentation of a proclamation and fashions for the season were spotlighted Dec. 14, when the 30th annual St. Gerard Campus luncheon and fashion show was staged at the World Golf Village.  Addressing the sold-out event, St. Gerard founder Caroline Wolff told the gathering she was thankful for the support and shared the hope of making the yearly fundraiser even bigger next year.  Because St. Gerard does not receive funds from local, state or federal government, it relies solely on donations, grants and fundraising events, Wolff told the gathering. www.fundraisingweb.org

Polar Express Fundraiser for Make-a-Wish

Lock Haven, PA - The 8th Annual "Make-a-Wish Polar Express" train-ride chugged along through the snow covered grounds of Dickey Elementary School's Tiger Den Playground in the hopes of raising money for a local Make-A-Wish foundation recipient.  Dickey Elementary School students, staff, and community members were once again in the giving spirit this holiday season in donating $1,605 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.  The fundraising event was established by former Liberty-Curtin and Dickey Elementary school teacher, Jason Koback, to "have students learn the main reason of the season through the Gift of Giving."  www.fundraisingweb.org

Avergan Foundation for Autism Fundraiser

Annapolis, MD - It was the official launch party for the Avergan Foundation on Thursday, December 12th. The new charity promotes awareness and support for autism spectrum disorders. The event included live and silent auctions, along with live entertainment, food and fun. It was also the premiere of a documentary short by Clickspark, showing the positive impact the Avergan Foundation can have on children and families affected by autism spectrum disorders.  The evening was a triumph as they successfully raised $7,500, which was just shy of their fundraising goal of $10,000. Pink Wig Fundraising Events Huge Success in 2013

Falmouth, England - The team behind Falmouth's Pink Wig Events are celebrating after raising a staggering £20,000 through a variety of fundraisers over the past year.  The Cornwall Breast Care Team will receive £10,000 while the Breast Cancer Campaign will get £8,500 with the remaining £1,500 being put aside to kick-start next year's Pink Wiggers' fundraising campaign.  Sally Hicks-Wood, a breast cancer survivor who founded Pink Wig Events, said: “We are just overwhelmed by the support and following we have now. Pan-Mass Challenge Fundraiser

Plymouth, MA - Registration for the 35th annual Pan-Mass Challenge opens Jan. 15. The PMC weekend, set for Aug. 2 and 3, 2014, will raise money to support adult and pediatric patient care and cancer research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through the Jimmy Fund.  The PMC is the most successful athletic fundraising event in the nation, raising more money for charity than any other single event. The PMC is a fully supported bike-a-thon that takes cyclists through 46 cities and towns across the commonwealth. Cyclists come from 38 states and five countries representing riders of various cycling experience levels, cancer survivors and current cancer patients, ages 13 to over 80. The 35th annual event will offer 13 routes that range from 25 to 190 miles over one or two days. Fundraising minimums range from $500 to $4,300.  www.fundraisingweb.org
