Evening on Pointe Fundraiser

Stillwater, MN - Simple, elegant and ready to give back to an organization that adds value to the community, the St. Croix Ballet company hosts its second annual fundraising event at The Grand this weekend. The event is called Evening on Pointe. The St. Croix Ballet aims to set aside the evening to celebrate ballet for the individual and greater community. Proceeds from the fundraiser support the St. Croix Ballet scholarship assistance program, costume restoration and replacement, performances and set enhancements, as well as teacher training enrichment. Lost Trail Ski Patrol Fundraiser

Lost Trail Powder Mountain, MT - Something bad can always happen when you are skiing or snowboarding, and when it does, you want an experienced ski patroller there to help you.  The work they do involves expenses, and so for the 30th year in a row the Lost Trail Ski Patrol is set to host their annual Steak Fry fundraiser at the base lodge of Lost Trail Powder Mountain.  Featuring fire, live music, beer, steaks, burgers and a torchlight parade, the event is the sole money-raising effort for the year according to LT ski patrol representative Craig Martens.  “It pays for equipment, training, Band-Aids, bandages and simple stuff like that,” he said. “We actually have had a pretty busy season so far, besides the usual scrapes and bruises. "Got Grit" Fundraiser for Local Principal

Grandville, MI -- The Grandville community does not shy away from a fight.  Nearly 2,800 people, many wearing "Got Grit" T-shirts, filled Grandville High School’s gym for a cheerleading invitational on Wednesday, Feb. 5, that became a cancer awareness and fundraising event for the school’s principal, Chris VanderSlice.  VanderSlice, 37, is being treated for leukemia.  The VanderSlice family will receive about $17,400 through Ivanrest Church from various fundraising events, including T-shirt and bracelet sales, raffles, a silent auction, coin collections at schools and donations from a local restaurant.  The district raised nearly $11,000 from pre-ordered T-shirt sales designed by Mike Leiter, one of the high school assistant principal’s and VanderSlice’s close friend.  www.fundraisingweb.org

Dance For Life Fundraiser

Palm Springs, CA - AIDS Assistance Program supporters and many of their guests were literally dancing in the aisles when a record crowd of 425 discerning dance fans turned out for the third annual Dance For Life event. The evening began with a champagne reception in the sculpture garden of the Palm Springs Art Museum, catered by Spencer’s and followed by the Dance For Life performance in the museum’s Annenberg Theater.  Hosted by Mark Walberg of the TV show “Antiques Roadshow”, this year’s highly anticipated encore performance featured a spectrum of dance genres from contemporary jazz to classical ballet and avant-garde modern to technical Broadway.  www.fundraisingweb.org

E-Scrap for Camp Fundraiser

Depew, NY - Sunnking Inc., in partnership with Camp Good Days and Special Times, has created a program called "E-Scrap 4 Camp." This program facilitates the recycling of old electronics from participating local businesses to generate funds for Camp Good Days and Special Times.  2014 marks the fourth E-Scrap 4 Camp fundraising campaign. In the first three years, a total of 991,006 lbs. of electronics were collected and recycled, resulting in more than $30,000 donated to Camp Good Days on behalf of Sunnking. For the month of April, Sunnking will provide free electronics recycling supplies and pick-ups at participating schools, businesses, nonprofits and other organizations in the Buffalo and Rochester area. Organizations are encouraged to collect old and unwanted electronics from employees, friends and family. UNICEF Day for Change Fundraiser

London, England - Pupils from Dunottar Reigate Schools for Girls left their uniforms in their cupboards and opted to wear something blue instead in a fundraising event for children around the world.   For the girls raised £190 in support of UNICEF’s Day for Change fundraiser. Dunottar was one of thousands of schools across the country which took part in a range of sponsored and money-raising activities to support the event.   Day for Change is the brainchild of UNICEF, the world’s leading organisation for children and their rights, which is working to change things for the estimated 68 million children around the world who do not have access to education. www.fundraisingweb.org
